Professor Goulet holds an undergraduate degree in agricultural engineering from the Ecole Supérieure d’Agriculture de Angers, France (2002), a graduate degree in tropical agronomy from the Centre Nacional d’Etudes Agronomiques des Régions Chaudes de Montpellier, France (2004), a master’s degree in social sciences, with a ESSOR sociology master option from the Université de Toulouse II – Le Mirail, France (2005), and a doctorate in industrial sociology from the Université Pierre Mendès/France, Grenoble II (2008).

In 2016 he received the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches in sociology, from the University of Paris Est.

He is currently a full researcher at the Centre de Coopération Internationale en Recherche Agronomique pour le Développement (CIRAD/France) in the Joint “Innovation” Research Unit.

He has also been a visiting researcher with OPPA/CPDA (Observatory on Public Policies for Agriculture) since 2018, and with the Argentinean National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) in Buenos Aires (Institute of Economics and Rural Sociology) from 2013 to 2018, and an associate researcher in the Lisis Joint Research Unit (Interdisciplinary Science, Innovation, and Society Laboratory, INRA/CNRS/UPEM).

He is a member of the editorial board of the Revista de Investigaciones Agropecuarias (RIA-Argentina), Revue d’Anthropology des Connissances (France) and IDeAS – Interfaces em Desenvolvimento, Agricultura e Sociedade (CPDA/UFRRJ/Brazil).

He has 15 years of experience in the field of sociology, with an emphasis on the sociology of innovation, science, and technology.
